In a recent incident in Madalpur village, Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district, a couple has been arrested for their alleged involvement in trying to lure a Christian youth into converting to Islam. The couple, identified as Shaukeen and Kamarbatun, residents of Delhi's Okhla area, were apprehended on Saturday following reports of suspicious activities involving a youth named Sooraj and his friend Mahi in the village.
Sooraj, who had converted to Christianity two years ago, came in contact with Mahi through an online game, Free Fire where she presented herself as a Christian. During their interactions, they discovered they both faced supernatural challenges in their lives. Mahi and Shaukeen subsequently instructed Sooraj on Islamic practices, even changing his name to Asad.
The police investigation revealed that Mahi was, in fact, Shaukeen's wife, and the couple had deliberately concealed their relationship to deceive Sooraj into converting to Islam.
